Tips to prepare your child for the start of the new school year

  1. Create a private Gmail account for your child.
  2. Set up the learning device in your child's name.
  3. Set up your child鈥檚 profile on the device so that it doesn鈥檛 need to be accessed through parent/guardian accounts (you can still be the administrator of the device).
  4. Ensure no screen time restrictions are set up on the device.
  5. Ensure no restrictions on internet access are set up on this device (you can still add your own filters for home use, the College have their own filters in place).
  6. Install Google Chrome (we are a Google Cloud Platform College).

Please note: In 2026 Year 7&8 students are required to use the 九色堂's College tote bag ($20) for carrying HPE uniform to HPE classes.
