The College offers significant discounts for parents/guardians paying fees for three or more children in Catholic schools. Discounts relating to siblings at Catholic primary schools can only be applied if the sibling information is supplied to the College.

A 5% discount of Tuition Fees is available for full payment of the yearly account by 31 March, calculated on the net value of tuition fees less any sibling discount or scholarships.

The Early Payment Discount does not apply to accounts that have been approved for Fee Assistance or Concession Card Discount.

The Building Fund was introduced to assist the continued development and maintenance of College facilities for the benefit of all students. Contributions are a tax-deductible donation to the College’s registered building fund and we encourage parents/guardians to support this important initiative. To contribute to the Fund, please visit the on the Parent Portal or call the College on 03 6341 9988.

If you do not elect to pay in full by the end of March, you can be billed evenly over a 10-month cycle from February to November.

Payments are to be made in accordance with your billing cycle and are payable by the due date.

It is important to maintain open communication and parents/guardians are strongly encouraged to contact either the Business Manager or the Principal if any difficulties arise in relation to account payments. Depending on individual circumstances, fee assistance or a payment plan may be approved.

The College will review overdue accounts on a monthly basis. If accounts are overdue with no agreed payment plan, 10% p.a. interest may be charged.

The College has also engaged the services of a solicitor to assist with the collection of overdue accounts. If there has been no contact with the College regarding an overdue account it may be lodged for collection and will incur a collection fee.

The NILS Network of Tasmania can assist with back to school costs with No Interest Loans (NILs) with no interest, no fees, no charges, ever. 

Every year, NILS helps parents and carers on low incomes (in particular those on Centrelink) in Tasmania to apply for a NILs loan of up to $2,000 to cover the cost of essential school items such as uniforms, textbooks, laptops and school camps (as well as other essential items such as washing machines, fridges, car repairs, medical and dental expenses). 

A NILs loan is a safe, affordable alternative to high-interest payday loans or rent-to-buy leases. It’s not a payday loan or a bank loan but a form of ‘circular community credit'. This means when a borrower makes a repayment to NILs, the funds are then released to someone else in the community. NILS Tasmania is a community organisation supported by not-for-profit Good Shepherd Australia New Zealand, with funding from the State Government in partnership with NAB, Bank of us and Aurora Energy.

¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ's College continues to provide Student Assistance to eligible families. Families assessed as eligible for Student Assistance by the Department of Education are entitled to receive required textbooks listed on the booklists on a loan basis for the year. No stationery will be provided. If you have an approval letter of assessment from the Department of Education, please provide us with a copy.

If you have not been assessed by the Department of Education but believe that you are eligible, you can apply directly to the College by completing the following .

Saver Plus is a 10 month financial education and matched savings program that assists people to improve their financial education and develop a savings habit for their own or their children’s education costs.

• One dollar in matched savings for every one dollar they save, up to $500, funded by ANZ;
• free MoneyMinded financial education (now offered around Australia via Zoom!); and
• personal support and guidance from a trusted community organisation.

At the end of the program participants use their matched savings to purchase an education-related goal, such as school uniforms, sports fees and gear, music costs, excursions and camps and more!

Benefits of Saver Plus
By joining the program participants will:

• be motivated to save by receiving a financial reward for their saving efforts, up to $500;
• strengthen their financial skills;
• improve their ability to save in the long-term; and
• increase their financial confidence.

How it works
Participants:

• work with their Saver Plus Coordinator to identify an educational expense for which they intend to save;
• open a dedicated savings account and make regular deposits over a 10 month period;
• attend MoneyMinded workshops to improve their financial management skills.

Once participants reach their savings goal, participants savings are matched dollar for dollar, up to $500!
